Aloft Hotel in Mt Laurel Wedding | Lauren & Shane | New Jersey Wedding Photographer

August 20, 2017

Amazing photo overload on this wedding! I met Lauren when I was younger, our moms carpooled us both back and forth to Hebrew School, so when she messaged me to photograph her wedding, I was super excited! I’d never met her fiancé Shane before, but there were so many familiar faces at this wedding that I hadn’t seen in years. The entire day was extremely laid back. I’d never shot a wedding at the Aloft before, but I had done prep photos in the hotel. I didn’t realize how gorgeous the rest of the venue is. To start, it’s modernly renovated and there is a secret “garden” area hidden in the back where the ceremony took place.

Shane got ready downstairs near the ballroom (with their adorable dog. Apparently it was a deciding factor that they allow pets at this venue!) and Lauren got ready in a suite upstairs. It was a small bridal party of just Lauren’s sister (who I  hadn’t seen in years either!) and Shane’s brother. We went to Croft Farms nearby for their portraits and family formals to add a little “green” to the day. (And also to do photos with their fur baby!)

Leigh Florist, as always, did an incredible job on their flowers and decor (they are the ones that did the shadowbox for my dried bouquet and also the flower’s for my best friend, Sam’s Wedding) in the ballroom and ceremony area.  RhythMix Entertainment, kept the dance floor packed all night with their mix of DJing and Live music in conjunction with the create lighting effects they did in the reception room.

After the groom made a pitstop at the cigar table, we finished off the night getting to do Low light portraits, something I don’t always get to do on weddings, but absolutely love.

Congrats Lauren & Shane!!
