So I figured catching up on blogging is probably important. I wanted to share a newborn session that I did. I don’t advertise family portraits, but I always jump at a chance to photograph something for my couples. I love the chance to get caught up and see where their life is going!
I had a blast photographing Alena and Shawn’s wedding so you can imagine how happy I was when they asked me to be their newborn photographer. Dave and I spent the night before filling the baby poser up with beans. You’d be surprised how giggly it makes you to fill up a beanbag, with Styrofoam beans going everywhere as you both try to come up with strategies to get them in without spilling them.
Alena and Shawn invited us to their house for the photos, which was perfect because it allowed me to bring more of them into the shoot. Plus, a baby is always more comfy at home. Shawn is a chef, so the theme was based around cooking and baking, hence the “Welcome Cupcake” sign. (and Shawn makes super yummy stuff.)
I have become friends with so many of my amazing clients and they make me feel like family. Being able to share these kinds of moments with people is what really brightens my day. I am so happy to have been a part of this special time for Alena and Shawn and I can’t wait to see their little girl grow up to be a strong and beautiful person, just like her parents =)
