I could shoot beach weddings all day long. They are absolutely gorgeous. Especially when you have a couple not afraid to get a little wet!
Sarah and Joe got married on Sarah’s grandmother’s anniversary so the date held a lot of meaning to them. The day started off at Flander’s hotel at their Salon where Sarah and her bridesmaid’s had their makeup done. Joe had just gotten back from fishing and met us at their hotel room to start photographing details. I loved using Sarah’s cascading bouquet of Orchids for their rings! Speaking of rings, I loved Joe’s unique band! After Sarah was dressed, we recreated a photo of Sarah’s grandmother getting ready, pulling up her garter and showing off her legs!
It was a gorgeous, warm day so we head outside to an absolutely packed boardwalk to do a first look, then head out to the beach for couples portraits. We started bridal party on the boardwalk, but an antique car show came through so we head back inside Flanders to cool off and finish photos. After that we had a break before ceremony. We checked out the reception room to see all the details Sarah had done. I loved how elegantly Sarah planned her wedding mixing purple, blue, and teal tones. All the decor was DIY beach themed.
Ceremony started a tad late as the beach goers were asked to clear off so we had a (somewhat) clear view to the beach for the ceremony. After ceremony was reception time! Everyone grabbed food at cocktail hour, we finished details and the party started (Entertainment/DJ by Chris Allen Entertainment). At Sunset, we stole Sarah and Joe out for an incredible portrait session. It was hazy outside and the sky was turning a gorgeous shade of pink. I was in photographer heaven photographing them. The sunset portraits are out of this world gorgeous. We had a great time and are so excited to share the photos!
