Dave and I met Nikki and Joe at one of the most boring bridal shows I think I’ve ever done. It was totally and completely dead as no-one showed up. Thankfully we ended up having a great conversation with the both of them to pass the time as the show came to a close. After spending time with them in Philly for their engagement session, and seeing them yet again as guests at Nija and Steve’s wedding, I was pumped for their beach wedding at the Icona Golden Inn in Avalon NJ!
Nikki and Joe picked their venue because they loved the beach resort-like feel. I could tell what they meant when we walked in the front doors. Bride and Groom prep were literally a room away from each other, so since we were doing both photo and video for their wedding, Dave and I split up for prep. After a super heart warming letter reading, I was probably as excited for first look as Nikki and Joe. We had a pretty large bridal party so we started inside the venue in front of a really cool art piece where we had seating for some formal portraits before heading out to the beach for some fun photos and couples portraits before the ceremony.
At the end of the evening, my whole team stole Nikki and Joe away for one of the most gorgeous sunsets. I feel blessed that I get to photograph such incredible couples in front of these gorgeous backdrops. Enjoy the photos =D
