I met Kat and Reid through a bride I had previously photographed (Melanie) who was helping wedding plan for her cousin’s wedding! Kat had planned a romantic wedding with tones of ivory, white, gold, and black. All the gowns were gorgeous and a little more unique than your typical bridal party gowns. Kat’s dress had stunning gold throughout it pulling her theme together. My hubby Dave helped second shoot this wedding. We started the day at the hotel where Reid was getting ready before heading over to Kat & Reid’s house to do bride prep! At their house, I started with these gorgeous wedding rings. We had plenty of time so I was able to play and try a couple different shots with them. Things got a little hectic as the balloon arch Kat had planned for photographs popped, but Melanie was on it and had them replaced before it was time to head out to the ceremony. The couple getting married at the church before them arrived late, putting the ceremony a little behind, but the guests all chatted away before the ceremony and we pulled everything back on schedule afterwards when cocktail hour was extended a little and we finished portraits quickly (Pen Ryn is a beautiful place for couples portraits) before the party!
