Experience the magic of Marissa and Frank’s Disney wedding at Lucien’s Manor in Berlin, NJ
Let’s get this out of the way. Marissa’s gown may be the most unique wedding dress I’ve ever photographed- Dori, in Alabaster, by Hayley Paige from Kleinfeld Bridal in New York. Furthermore, Marissa put thought into every detail. The organic flow of her dress went with the scenery, the bouquet colors complimented the gardens, and the color palate for the bridal party was just… inspirational. As a photographer, there was so much to play with.
Everyone in this wedding was such a good sport. Even with the nipping cold and wind, Marissa and Frank were still willing to do their outdoor couple’s portraits. Who could pass up a fine art wedding portrait in front of that stunning water feature at Lucien’s Manor? The landscaping is beautiful.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
The First Look may have been the most magical moment of the day. At least, according to our Bride and Groom, it was the one moment of their wedding that will stay with them forever.
Not surprisingly, the weather moved the ceremony indoors.
Marissa walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. The ceremony was short and sweet, officiated by a dear friend.
At the reception, gorgeous crystal sconces and floral centerpieces decorated the tables. A magic castle card holder and Mickey and Minnie place cards with Mickey confetti greeted every guest. What Disney wedding would be complete without a Mickey and Minnie cake topper? But I have to highlight the party favors, Truffles for a Cause. The organization allows you to choose which charity you would like a portion of the proceeds (from your order of chocolate wedding favors) to go toward. Marissa picked the ASPCA and the Alzheimer’s Association. As the caregiver to so many adopted cats and doggies, this hit home for me.
The last few images, I leave you with two First Dance Collages. Our couple was absolutely glowing.
The bride later mentioned that the first dance seemed like their first quiet moment together since the start of their wedding day, and now one of the most memorable.
Marissa’s wedding planning advice to future brides, “Take your time planning, don’t rush it. Go with your gut feeling and don’t let anyone talk you into something your not 100% happy with!” When asked about her favorite wedding details, she added, “…getting to marry my best friend. It may have taken 9 years but we did it! “
And yes, they honeymooned in Disney World.
