During high school I was part of a Drama academy. Theater was a big passion of mine and the people really made an impact on my life. We had incredible experiences together, fun, sorrow, and even loss, and grew together as a family. Andrew was a part of that family. When Andrew contacted me to photograph his wedding, it was an honor. He and his family were part of my little tight knit community I loved. His mom and dad helped with the theater costuming, set design and so much more, his brother who passed away was the most full of life person I had ever met and made me feel at home there, and Andrew was one of the most respectful and kind people who never judged me.
I met with Andrew and Colleen in Philly for dinner with Dave before their wedding and it was liked nothing had changed. I didn’t know Colleen, but she was a few years behind us in school. I instantly loved her and was so happy for the two of them. Colleen is incredibly beautiful (inside and out) and has the most amazing eyes! (And they found me a place in Philly that makes Ice-cream for peanut allergy people. <3)
Everything about their day was perfect. From the gorgeous location, to the color palette of the day, how goofy and happy Colleen and Andrew are together, to how absolutely emotional I was during their speeches, and the incredible fireworks surprise Andrew’s parents had planned to end their night(That was the hardest secret ever to keep. Serious poker face there.) and more. Congratulations both of you!! I’m so happy.
