We’ve been running so much I haven’t had a chance to share this beautiful wedding at The Gramercy! Alexandra and Brandon had a black on black themed wedding with hints of gold and red. They were married at the same church that Alexandra (Alli’s) parents were married 30 years ago. We did video on this wedding so Dave and I started at Alli’s house while our 2nd shooters were with Brandon. We went straight to the ceremony. One of the special requests of the day was to recreate an old photograph /silhouette of her parents there! All the portraits took place at The Gramercy, which is now one of my favorite ballrooms. The place is stunningly beautiful. And their cocktail hour had really yummy food. They chose a purple uplighting (which is probably my favorite color uplighting next to pink) and all black and sparkly crystal centerpieces which gave me the ability to use them to shoot through and create all the glittery effects in the photos. <3<3 There was candles all across the head table (Another favorite of mine as you probably already know if you follow my blog). Alli also made “love potions” for her favors which were a little alcoholic drink with berries and herbs. We have another wedding coming up there soon, so we are super excited!
